Luck and Lessons Pt.4 Finale

Sayid had learned several things from his week of punishment. He didn’t know how or when, but he knew he was going to either kill Diaco or die trying. He knew most faces around the compound and he’d paid close attention to those who chose to take advantage of his punishment as opposed to those who either left him alone or brought him water. He knew he would only get one chance to kill Diaco, and he would need allies if he wanted to succeed. He knew that he would need to be very careful when and who he spoke of his plan to. He also knew the closer he could get with Diaco the better his chances of success would be.  Continue reading Luck and Lessons Pt.4 Finale

Luck and Lessons Pt 2.

Diaco’s “feasts” after fights soon became a normal part of his expected routine, though Diaco began having Sayid trained in other areas of operation when he wasn’t fighting, in reward for his success and obedience. He learned to read and write, learned how to interpret maps, and a variety of other skills and knowledge. Diaco sometimes assigned him other jobs, thievery or mercenary work, when there were longer gaps between fights. Luck seemed to follow him in these new areas of work as well, surviving more than one incident that should’ve spelled his death.  Continue reading Luck and Lessons Pt 2.

Rat Meat

His earliest memories were living off scraps of bread that had grown hard or moldy, and fruit that was overly sweet but mushy and slimy on the tongue, sometimes infested with insects that flock to the cloying scent of overly ripe fruit decaying. Whatever bits his parents and siblings didn’t want was what the boy got. His second earliest memory was the eyes of the soldier that had burst into their home… Continue reading Rat Meat

The Sound

Notebook belonging to Intern Filip recovered by Intern Gates at junction twenty meters from door S_J-6545H4G: After entering, the specified door has vanished.  The halls are filled with sand, ankle-deep in most places though in some sections it piles up nearly to the ceiling. I can hear what sounds like an army marching, though I’ve been unable to locate the source thus far but I believe I’m on the right track. The sound has been gradually getting louder.  Continue reading The Sound

Follow Me…

Wagner was practically buzzing with excitement as he drove down the narrow road that barely seemed like a road. It couldn’t have gone better if he’d planned it himself. He’d feared 24 taking the fascinating creature he’d spied through his drones to Stahs would spell a great deal of trouble in acquiring the silver-skinned male, but 24 had bungled it nearly immediately and saved him the difficulty. “Here we are.” He announced as he pulled up alongside what looked like a dilapidated shack.  Continue reading Follow Me…

An Escape

Twenty-four stared in disbelief at what he had done. Dr. Wagner lay unmoving on the floor of his office, the handle of a scalpel protruding from the vampire’s right eye. It had happened in a matter of seconds when Wagner let his guard down and looked away from the surgical tools on his desk. Twenty-Four had resigned himself to being a prisoner of the lab for centuries, but this day he’d had enough of the torment, lashing out in retaliation. He stood panting hard, unsure what to do now and knowing he had a limited time before the guards showed up when Wagner didn’t make his usual rounds… Continue reading An Escape
