Notebook belonging to Intern Filip recovered by Intern Gates at junction twenty meters from door S_J-6545H4G: After entering, the specified door has vanished. The halls are filled with sand, ankle-deep in most places though in some sections it piles up nearly to the ceiling. I can hear what sounds like an army marching, though I’ve been unable to locate the source thus far but I believe I’m on the right track. The sound has been gradually getting louder.
The sound is almost deafening now. I’m starting to wonder if the sound is another illusion of this place, but if it isn’t I have to be close now. It’s hard to concentrate, the vibrations are so intense now. I haven’t seen another door since the first disappeared, just endless halls and rooms filled with sand. It’s taking everything I have to focus on writing things down. The air is so dry in here, my lips are chapped and my eyes and sinuses ache.
I found the sound. Wasps. Massive wasps, about three meters from head to stinger. Their exoskeleton and wings are black with an iridescent blueish-green sheen. The “marching” I heard was the sound of these things vibrating their wings in unison. Oh God, there’s so many. They’re all over the ceiling. I have no idea how long they’ve been above me. I’m trying to write and move as slowly and quietly as I can in hopes I don’t disturb them. They don’t seem to be paying me any mind so maybe
The unfinished entry ends there. Intern Gates’ team was sent to investigate door S_J-6545H4G after Intern Filip failed to return to the staffing area. Intern Gates’ team submitted the following audio tape recording after recovering the notebook and Intern Filip:
Found Intern Filip’s notebook at the intersection roughly twenty meters from door S_J-6545H4G. No sign of him, or of the sand or wasps indicated in his entry.
Hey Gates, there’s a hole in the wall over here!
Ok, give me a second to lug this recorder over there… [audible grunting sounds] There is a large tunnel dug or… chewed? Into the drywall, sloping downward. Alright, Huber, you take point. Brown, you bring up the rear. Headlamps on. Let’s see what’s down here.
Be careful, the incline is pretty steep. Don’t drop the recorder.
Ah! Don’t shine your light in my eyes! I got it, just keep moving forward.
Sorry. It starts to level out down a little ways further. OH! Oh god… is.. is that Filip? It is… Holy fuck.. ghk… [Intern Huber can be heard vomiting]
Is he dead? There’s no way he’s alive, right?
He’s… he’s still breathing, just barely.
Shit, alright, we need to stabilize and get him back to medical fast! Get the tubes!
End of audio recording. Upon retrieval, Intern Filip was taken to medical who removed sixty-three developing wasp eggs from the intern’s abdominal cavity. Intern Filip remains in a semi-catatonic state in which he can follow simple commands but seems otherwise unaware of himself or his surroundings. Presumed to be an extended effect of the venom from the sting that was received between the c3 and c4 vertebrae of the intern. Further tests to rehabilitate Intern Filip’s cognitive function are currently underway. Eggs collected have been sent to other sites for growth and further testing.
