A Casual Chit Chat

Wagner did indeed sit with his thoughts once he’d passed the information on. His body ached as it slowly tried to repair itself from the holy slurry it had turned his insides into.

Voltaire strolls up to wagner “My oh my what a sight. Just how… “Voltaire glances Wagner over “….pray tale did you end up in this….” He gestures about “…. position.” He smirked.

Wagner blinked a bit in surprise as Voltaire walked up to him, clearing his throat with a wet rasping noise. “Bloody came for 24. Screwed up really bad. Pissed Azazel off beyond reckoning.” He said tiredly.

Voltaire nods “Stahs, yes I saw your work. Really messed him up. Lucky for me, I got a favor of whatever I want from Bex. Though I learn that you apparently are willing to give up being with who you want verses Bex. Truly interesting.” He chuckles. He then sighs “Oh…..Azazel….hes got alot of work in the other lab. Its piling up cause he can’t get out of here. He must have alot of frustration.”

“Mmm you assisted him in stopping the damage.” He nodded. He considered saying he owed him but he didn’t want to risk Voltaire taking him literally. “I suppose I can understand the difference in our logic. If Virus lost me he would still have Gears.” He gave a weak shrug in his straps. “Clearly.” Wagner said dryly, he got to experience that frustration first hand.

Voltaire nods “Yes, but he’s scarred for life.” He state “Mangled that left eye.” Voltaire arch a brow “Hmmm well perhaps, but your a selfish being. A jealous induced one at that.” Voltaire looked Wagner up and down” I mean, hey I’m a bondage lover, so you probably look very enticing like this to him.” Shrugging “demons are easy manipulate though…if you know their drive.”

“Yes. It would take some very skilled magic to break a curse like that.” Wagner nodded. He was far better at making curses than breaking them. “True, but Gears is sort of the exception. It’s impossible to deny how like Virus he is. It is difficult to be mad at that.” Wagner would say “Yeah? Bet I make one hell of a sight right now.” He chuckled faintly. “True… I’m not sure if I have a good read on his drive or not.”

Voltaire nods “Do you regret the decision to mangle him?” He ask. He wasn’t playing mind games, but he loved seeing how people work, their thought process through chat. He then shrugs “hmm interesting.” Voltaire grinned “Can’t say its aweful.” He then shrugs “Maybe you do or don’t. I mean Azazel pretty easy read to me……. though I done alot of business with demons of all types.”

“Mmm. Yes and no. If I knew it wouldn’t change the way things turned out like this probably would’ve saved that curse for someone more deserving.” Wagner mused. “Looks better than it feels.” He chuckled, coughing a little. “Well I know he has love for taking what others desire.” That was the main reason Azazel wanted Bloody in the first place and he knew it. Of course Azazel’s remark about Stahs being so close to beauty was fresh in his mind as well.

Voltaire nods “Unfortunately things were not different.” He say. That chesire grin on his lips “I have to admit, that is the one thing to admire in humans. You were once human…so you have that utter will of survival.” He then trace the flower on wagner face “How far are you willing to let Virus fall in that hole he dug?” Voltaire musedf as he asked the question.

“So it seems, would be handy if my skills were in clairvoyance.”Wagner gave a vague sort of oh well shrug to the best of his abilities. “True, fragile things but stubborn as hell.” Wagner nodded. He looked thoughtful at the question as Voltaire traced his face. “You mean pursuing revenge against 24? Or trying to deal with Azazel?” He furrowed his brow.

Voltaire chuckles “You think so but even clairvoyance is never a sure thing for the furture can and does always change.” Voltaire shook his head “Stubborn and quick to fights” He then shrugs “All I’m asking is are you willing to watch someone tear themselves apart to achieve something that will likely leave them empty. Watch them chip away as it consumes them, their very soul.”

“True enough, there are no guarantees in life.” Wagner nodded. There were always unpredictable factors. “That as well.” He laughed softly. “No… I can’t watch that happen to him… I’m just not sure how to sway him from it without him feeling he’s been betrayed.” He frowned faintly, his forehead creasing in thought.

Voltaire nods “Sometimes we have to do what we think is best, even if it makes us the villians” he told Wagner “but ….. his path is his own….though everyone needs a light every now and then.” With that he pulled away and was gone

Wagner nodded, reflecting on Voltaire’s words as he moved out of sight. How did he help Virus? Keep him from going down that path? Not being trapped in this place with his boss would be a good start… he started up at the ceiling, trying to think what to do.
