The smell of death lived in the air, a stench that doesn’t go away easy. It was in the walls, the furniture of the place. Bodies strewed about, some fresh and others decomposing. Chains rattling could be heard, as the once skittished priest sat tugging at the shackles on his wrist. Trying to reach for any morsel of fresh blood he could get.
His sire still barely allowing him food, with claims it is her will, her teachings to him. Plus it was clear his sire enjoyed watching him lap at the floor for blood. How his sire enjoyed torturing him, just to hear him scream out. Though this now seem like normal life to the priest.
Though after about a decade of torture, his sire finally allow him some freedom. Let him hunt, he was more like a crazed animal. Lunging and attacking anything that moved, sometimes his sire kept him on a literal leash. Together they laid waste to several places, the sire favorite place to attack were near churches. He still favored priest, killing until he abruptly drag his fledgling to a new place. Trying to stay steps ahead of the council and their lapdogs.
Though one evening proved fruitless as it seem one of the lapdogs was prepared. Waiting for him, he thought he out witted the vampire. Heading to grab the priest to bolt to a new place. Only to have the other vampire beat him there.
In the cellar of the building the priest could hear a tussle going on, before silence. Aside from his loud mind, the place was eerily quiet. Though soon there was the sound of the cellar door opening up, footsteps coming down the stairs. The priest knew it wasn’t his sire, he felt a loss. It was the other Vampire.
The Vampire stared at the crazed priest, watching him snarl and snap his fangs. Seeing him cuffed and tugging at the chain. The reasonable thing would be to put it out of its misery, but he rather admire the fire the priest had. Moving closer, however keeping out of reach. He’d have the priest taken from the place and to his place.
For a few days he tried to gain the priest trust, feeding him and trying to show there was nothing to fear. Though the priest remained feral, rambling about her will and such. Screaming how loud the voices were, he manage to get the priest to talk a little. Noticing when it was dark and silent so was the priest. It gave this Vampire an idea, he come back to the room he kept the priest in. Holding a fabric in his hand.
“This was gifted to me by her, she wanted you to have it. To help silence the loudness, to help you focus and calm down.” He explains. Moving to him, the priest still skittish and rabid tried to attack him. However the Vampire was cunning and manage to dodge, getting the veil on the priest head. This cause the priest to hault, confused, as the noise did get quiet to him. Falling for the others words, slowly calmed down.
“Voltruist…….. FatherVoltruist!” A voice spoke, causing the Vampiric priest to snap out of his daydreaming of the past. Looking over to the other, the veil resting over his eyes. “You know i am here if you ever need someone to talk to.” Stahs spoke.
Voltruist smiled “No no lord Grey, it is I who is here for you to speak to. To confess sins and such, I am fine. ” slowly he stood up “You know she could definitely use you lord Grey.”
Stahs sighs hearing the priest talk “Oh I am sure. Well Im sure you will be returning to your church. As always, it’s interesting to have you visit. Even if you just sat there zoned out.”
Voltruist stared at Stahs for some time “Silence can be healing Lord Grey. You seem like someone who needs healing.” He then move to leave the manor, Stahs arching a brow at the departing Priest.
