Aftermath of a mess

Azazel didn’t say anything at first. He went to Wagner and grabbed his throat “you knew bloody was here and you let them escape. How dare you..then breaking all the cell doors.” He was blaming Wagner for that as he didn’t know it was Stahs.

Wagner smiled wider as Azazel grabbed his throat. He gave a little nod, not denying it, even if it wasn’t true with the footage gone he decided it might be better to simply let Azazel believe what he wanted. Either way it wouldn’t end well for him.

Wagner dangled from where the demon had lifted him, he let his arms and legs hang stationary at his sides, waiting to see what tortures awaited him.

Azazel glared at him. ” it is clear. You are done here. ” he told him. Lifting Wagner up “you let them escape. You let an experiment…no all the experiments escape. You have failed in the biggest way and after I was so generations to you.”

Wagner nodded as best as he could as he was lifted to show he understood. He was so unbelievably fucked, but keeping Stahs away from Azazel made it worth it. He didn’t fight, keeping his arms loose at his sides as he was lifted by his throat.

Azazel sneered at him “no matter. I’ll just gather soldier to burn that manor….that is where 24 going? Right….with bloody?” He grinned “I’ll bring a corpse…hes a vampire ..so reviving should be easy.”

Wagner gazed back at him, smiling so hard his jaw hurt. He just hoped he’d bought Bloody enough time and that 24, knowing Azazel, would know the demon wasn’t about to give up on his fledgling. Wagner managed another little nod, wheezing out a, “Y-yes sir.”

Azazel pulled out his radio “Intern!” He barked “call main office, have more interns sent here and tell them to send out a second squad…take out the manor, bring me the one called Stahs and 24…..kill everything else, burn that manor to the ground.” Staring Wagner “its time you learn how things go again pet.” He started walking to the surgical bay.

“Yes sir.” The intern answered hastily, the fear clear in their voice.

Wagner watched him, fear coiling in his gut as he watched Azazel order the intern. He gave a rapid nod at his words to him as he was carried by his neck, not daring to let his smile fall lest Azazel cut him a proper one again.

Azazel moved into the surgical room, despite the burns he was still doing pretty good. He slam Wagner onto the table and began strapping him in. “I should take your tongue for lying to me. “He move about. He saw the angel in the cell “maybe I can coax the celestial to burn you….or perhaps i get rid of your body and keep your head in a jar.”

Wagner winced as he was slammed against the surgical table, his vision going spotty for a moment when his head collided with the metal surface. He didn’t try to struggle, watching him with that smile but his eye was wide with fear as he was strapped in, listening to his boss’ words. He was already crawling in his skin with dread, neither idea sounded pleasant. He was already panicking, and on top of it he could feel something very wrong with Virus. They were being called, the pull was so much it hurt.

Azazel moved about the room as he tried to think what he wanted to do. He grab a touch and walks back to wagner. Grinning ” I was burned for your betrayal, when you let my pet out…I’ll burn you as bad.” Starting at his arm he turn the torch on and began to let it melt his flesh.

Wagner watched him from where he was strapped down now. Between Azazel milling about and picking up the torch, and Virus’s panic over the dream combined with Gears panic over Virus. Lost any semblance of composure, screaming in agony as he had when Azazel had begun to work with him as his first burned, his illusion of being human flickered, struggling to stay in place as his skin blistered and melted beneath the heat of the flame, quickly charring.

Screams. Why were there screams? He was supposed to be dead, which meant that he’d returned to the celestial host as a formless entity….screaming wasn’t usually assocaited with that. It was then that the pain started to bloom across his hands and he groaned as his eyes, now crusted with black tears, slowly tried to open and focus. Where was he, why did he hurt, and who was screaming? He uttered a few words in the celestial tongue, voice little more than a whisper.

Azazel moved up Wagner arm “yes scream pet….scream loud and proud.” He told him. “Don’t forget to smile.” He laughed. He move and went to touch wagner side, not caring if the cloths fused with his flesh or not. He was pissed off.

Wagner did his best to keep the corners of his mouth pulled upward as he howled in agony. The pain was blinding, holy fuck he’d forgotten how much this hurt. Clothes melted in with skin until the two were indiscernable.

Azazel then stop “you know what…..this is too good for you.” He states “you betrayed me. I legit rewarded you….see I told Voltaire reward bad behavior and they just take advantage. You don’t get to have Virus. No..as soon as the elevator is fix, I’m dragging you home. Pet.” He move to grab a scalpel and the leans over” lets disect, starting with this cursed flower.” went to cut it from Wagner face.

Wagner’s screams turned to whimpers as the flame cut off. Smile. Smile. Smile. He focused on that. “U-under.. understood… s-sir.” He stammered out, his illusion gone. “Si-” Wagner couldn’t get the word out as the flower was cut from his eye, his body instantly sagging, dead.

Azazel blinked “what the” he furrow his brow “damn…..what a shame….worthless intern anyway.” Perks up to a sound and moves to the cage “my pet…look at you. Poor thing, Wagner will pay for letting you roam free.”

“Who’s Wagner?” he asked, but then that voice trickled into his head and reality slotted into place. He reached up to claw at his face, but the bone of his fingers uselessly dragged against his skin. “No no no I’m dead…you’re dead, I’m dead….wh-why…” H ewas shuddering with sobs now, delerious and confused before blacking out once more. One thing was for sure; he had no idea who Wagner was.

Azazel stood there and went to the intercom “an intern bring me my tablet. Im in the private surgical wing.” He needed to see the feed back.In the time Azazel was speaking to Mariel and the intercom the flower would slowly begin to expand and bloom as the regeneration cycle kicked in.

The other mind was close, the one still sleeping. He darted into the room, intangible as the air around him as he moved through the shadows. He was perhaps a bit sloppy – he was too intent on finding the source of his recent meal and not quite concentrating on remaining unhidden, so his form as a darker shadow loomed visibly as he slithered around the room. Azazel waited. He look around sensing something. Then it was gone. He would then look at mariel.Mariel laid there on the edge of consciousness, his body twitching occasionally as he coughed up bubbling blood from his mouth that was a mixture of black and gold like a strangely irridescent oil slick. His eyes, now that deep solid blue, were glassy and staring at nothing. The poor angel’s mind was reeling.

Azazel looks at mariel “poor poor pet, don’t worry i can be merciful.” He grins. “So merciful” chuckling.

Wagner pulled himself the rest of the way out of the flower, his body now unblemished and with a new flower in place as he got to his feet. He wasn’t stupid enough to run, instead clearing his throat to alert Azazel to his presence.

Azazel blink and slowly turned, he looked at Wagner, saw the corpse and then to the living. “Remarkable. I can kill you over and over.” He then yelled in the radio “where is my tablet!”

“Dead dead dead,” he whispered through a throat that was pretty much fried at this point. He didn’t look terribly angelic in this ruined state, but he was trying to move to get up, wings limp and dragging the floor. The sudden yelling caused him to jolt, and it was clear suddenly that the dark blue orbs were actually blind, staring at nothing as he tried to look around.

“Yes, sir.” Wagner nodded, watching him as he yelled into the radio. A minute or two later an intern ran in, clutching the pink tablet and out of breath from the run from where he’d found it to where he was now. He held it out to Azazel.

Azazel snatched the tablet out of the interns hand “you are lucky you have value right now.” He told the intern. The intern whimpered at Azazel’s words, shrinking back in fear once the tablet had been snatched away. He go through the cameras. He was looking for something, he didn’t know what. Till he stopped at Wagners room. “Hello…” he flip the sound on listening as he could hear that brokenness in the vampires voice.” He grinned “Virus doesn’t know what you did…..” he look to Mariel seeing that blank stare…he pull out a leash, that was a little worse for wares. Opens the cage and hooks the collar. “Lets all go for a walk.” He say.” I found the punishment I want.” Tug Mariel along, leaving to go to Wagners quarters

The angel had just gotten to his feet when he felt the heavy click of the leash and it caused him to blink a few times, staggering as the leash was pulled. He didn’t have much choice but to stumble along, skeletal hands skimming the walls for support with soft scraping sounds as he continued to mutter in a mixture of common and celestial about being dead, both of them, weren’t they dead? Wagner grit his teeth at Azazel’s words, smiling hard again as he moved to follow him. He didn’t want to find out what would happen if he didn’t walk on his own.
