Mateo had caught wind of a possible job, listening through word of mouth. He had been trying to find the place so he could do some mercenary work. Being new to this city and all, he finally got to a bar and listens about. Over hearing a guy speaking to someone about merc work. Mateo knew the one that the other was trying to recruit. He waited till they finished and watch the other guy as he approached the bar. “I wouldn’t hire that sack of shit if I were you.” He said casually.

The male looks at mateo arching a brow “Oh yeah why not?” Leaning against the bar.

Mateo smirks “cause he will take your money and run. Providing you are not stupid to pay first, he will abandon you on a job, leave ya to die.” He explains

“And you this for a fact because?” The male ask.

“Because ive work with him in several jobs and that is what he did at all of them. Personally i told him i would kick his ass if i saw his sorry ass.” Mateo state.

The male seemed intrigued “so you are a merc yourself? Are you looking for a job?”

“Are you hiring?” Mateo responded

The male nods and slide a piece of paper to him “be there…tomorrow. jobs yours and you can kick the other ones ass.”

Mateo gave a nod “alright then.” Taking the paper as he then heads out. Oh he plan to kill the other guy, he was done with him for sure. Tired of him on jobs with him, being a flake. He headed to a hotel for the night as he waited it out for the next night. He scoped out the spot early and got his gun ready. Waiting for the other make, he knew would show up early in hopes of getting paid or impressing to try to get paid. Once the guy showed, he shot him and dump the body else where. Then waited for the other guy to show. He stared at the building when a voice was heard.

“Are you the guy Zagine hired?” The voice ask. Mateo turns and about jump seeing a priest smiling.

“Holy shit, you scared the shit out of me with that priest get up and creepy smile. Wow what is with the priest get up?” Mateo ask.

“I am a priest, a priest for lilith. however you didn’t answer my question.” The priest spoke.

Another voice spoke up “Yes tru i hired him, the other was a flake. Looks like he showed up, but tell ya what tru if he turns on us kill him. Now go scout the place.” Zagine spoke.

Voltruist stared at Zagine and then mateo, before heading to go into the building. Mateo arch a brow “um you sure he should go in alone?”

Zagine gave a nod “hes fast, strong and deadly. Plus I really dont care if he gets hurt, he is pretty good survivor. He knows I wont let him puss out on me.”

Mateo blinks some “well alright, not to sound ungrateful what did you need me for?”

Zagine looks to Mateo “we are retrieving the goods and killing our mark. A guy in there, tru will handle his men so we can do this fast.”

Mateo grins “well alright then leys do this. I like your style.” They would burst in to a mess of bodies from the priest. They manage to grab the money and kill the target. Left without the others able to call for help or it get there fast enough. Heading back to the church, Voltruist had went to clean off and change clothes, while Zagine celebrated a win.

“Here you go. So mateo you seem to have a stomach i feel like we could get along great.” Zagine spoke “how long you in town for?”

Mateo shrugged “eh for a few months depending on the jobs. I dont typically stay in one spot for long, however i could get use to your jobs. That freakish priest pretty good at killing. You ever worry he turn on you?”

Zagine grins “No i got him trained, he knows better. Im like a commanding voice to him. Fucking virgin bitch is easy to control.”

Mateo blinks “wait hes a virgin?” You gotta be shitting me.”

Voltruist had move to the recreational room and sat down to try and relax. When mateo came in and saw the priest. “Well there you are, i been looking for ya.” He walked over to the priest as he reach for the veil “what do you look like under there?” He ask.

Voltruist stopped him, grabbing his wrist. “Please dont. This veil keeps me from being feral.”

Voltruist was crying and protesting against Zagine as he was getting molested, when Zagine got hit and went flying to the other side of the room “run now.” Shouted Lilian who moved to kick mateo in the groan sending the vampire down. She stood over them as a mama hen “if you two ever touch him like that again, i will split your dicks permanently and i will take them from you.” She hissed and walked out.

Zagine growled”fucking bitch…i got something for her….tired of her thinking she can call the shots.”

Mateo was wincing “she is scary. God…like terrifying.”

Voltruist had ran to his room and fell to the floor crying. Lilian followed and move in as she grabbed and held him “Its ok…its ok. You just let it all out, they will never hurt you like that ever again.” She cooed as Voltruist clung to her.
