After 40 years of searching, word finally came back that Sanderson fledgling had been found. He wasn’t sure if he was relieved or not. He already kick himself for not scaring off the priest. Remembering the news that the priest never showed to the church. Part of him hope the priest just got spooked and left. Though the church refused to give any real word and Sanderson came up empty handed. He was sure his fledgling killed the poor priest. He make it to the place they took rogue vampires to. Walking into the building and going to the sublevel, where the holding cells were.
Stahs met up with Sanderson, as he spoke up “Hey. Um so there was some complications and Stephan dead. Im sorry, I failed to bring him back alive.” He explains.
Sanderson stared at the other vampire, he kept his cold calculated demeanor. He then gives a slow nod “I see. Probably best this way, I had hope to save him.”
Stahs shift his weight some “There is something else.” He said uncertain.
Sanderson stared Stahs down for a moment “What do you mean there is something else? Explain.” He orders.
“It seems that Stephan turned a priest. When we got there, this priest was still alive. Well he was a vampire, he was kept tied in the basement, seem starved.” Stahs tried to explain.
Sanderson tried to remain in his calm demeanor, but now he wonder if the priest was who he thought. Perhaps this could be good, he could help the priest maybe.”Take me to him.” He told the other.
Stahs stared a moment “Well there is something else, um the priest is feral. Zagine manage to get him some what. Im not sure if he is worth keeping, it would be more merciful to put him down.” He told the elder.
Sanderson eyes narrow slightly “Take me to him.” He said sternly.
Stahs gave a small nod and would lead the elder to where they kept the priest. There was a large glass as the priest was sitting in a chair, he was filthy looking. Dirt and grime all over him, a dirty large cloth over his head that covered his eyes. He was still feral though, however he didn’t seem to be attacking. Sanderson could tell already, it was Voltruist. The priest that had been kind to him at the park. The corner of Sanderson lip twitched.
There was another council member there, a woman who stared at the priest “We should just put it down. Look at it, its an abomination.”
Sanderson kept himself calm still as he said sternly “No. He will not be put down like an animal, he is kindred and deserves a chance.” He look at the other.
She would shake her head “He will be YOUR problem and responsibility. ” she shook her head as she move to leave.
Sanderson look to the Priest “i want him cleaned up and i will hold a meeting to where to place him. He is to be protected do you understand lord grey?”
Stahs look confused at the elder but gave a nod “ok. As you wish.” Stahs move to get just that done.
Few hours had past and Sanderson had went out to have a veil special made for the priest, it was black with a burgundy border to it. He saw Stahs who looked stressed “Whay happened?” He ask.
Stahs turns to Sanderson “He um well has attacked several people so far, but hes clean now. Just he is very feral and barely listening to anyone.”
Sanderson gave a nod “understood. You can go and get rest.” He said dismissively to the other. Stahs shook his head, give Sanderson a look behind his back before leaving.
Sanderson watched as Zagine seem to have the priest in a docile state with a towel over the priest head. He walked in “He looks better, you can go and rest as well.”
Zagine look to Sanderson “well actually i think he prefer i stay.”
Sanderson just stared at Zagine till the vampire move out of the room, then he shut the door. He walked over to the priest who hissed at him. “Voltruist….I am so sorry.” He told him, though it was clear the priest wasn’t lucid at all. He doubted the priest recognized him or even understood what had happened. He grab the towel off and Voltruist moved away from him growling. He sat in the corner, just baring his fangs. Sanderson saw the once pale blue eyes now red “I wish i could make this up to you. I promise you will never be hurt ever again.” He got closer and put the veil over the priest head. The priest stop baring jis fangs, but he kept growling some, clinging to that corner.
Sanderson move to leave the room, he look at the priest through the glass, frowning some “I should have ran you off, you didn’t deserve this.” Standing there as he watch the priest.
